Description:

LEVEL 1:

Sufficient leadership, communication, coordination, and documentation skills (paper work) within & outside of the company

Specific understanding and responsibilities of the trade

Able to safely and efficiently operate excavation equipment & properly install underground piping systems with supervision 

Positive work ethic

Good to great communication and coordination skills 

Has expressed a desire to continue their career with enrollment of the AFSA Foremanship Program 

Must report to the foreman or general superintendent or project manager

LEVEL 2, including above:

Capable of the direct supervision and responsibility of the lead fitter on the jobsite
Can properly install Wet, Dry, Deluge & Preaction systems, standpipes, fire lines, fire pumps, & specific application sprinklers without supervision
Proficient in daily planning and scheduling of work to maintain efficient progress
Identify possible issues or change order items before work flow is halted and communicated with supervisor and office staff
Handle associated authority and responsibility with respect of others
Track progress and productivity to express when additional materials or manpower may be needed or procedures adapted to meet project milestones
Effectively teach/train new hires/apprentices trade specifics to maximize safety & efficiency on job sites and aid potential candidates for advancement within Rudd Fire Protection
Satisfactorily provide detailed information related to Daily Time & Progress Reports, Expenses, As-Built’s, Test Certificates, and other Reports or Authorizations required of the foreman
Must report to the foreman or general superintendent


Education:

Highschool or GED, required

AFSA certification, a plus

NICET certifications, a plus

OSHA 10 or 30 hour card, a plus

CPR/First Aid card, a plus
